About Curtis Routh

With twenty years of experience ranging over a broad spectrum of photographic applications, Curtis Routh is the premiere photographer for commercial, red carpet, and the motion picture industry. Curtis Routh started with film in a studio environment and has progressed to a highly mobile system designed to photograph subjects in all enviromnments.


Curtis Routh has unmatched experience in commercial, red carpet, motion picture photography. Routh is an expert shooting for industries from oil and welding (example) to dental (example) and everything in between. He is also the preferred photographer for society and red carpet events, having shot around the West Texas area for the Midland Minuet Society and many other Gala events. Most recently, Curtis was selected as the official photographer for the motion picture Open When Johnny Can Read. He shot over 10,000 photos during the production including portrait photograhy for promotional materials including posters and DVDs.


Curtis uses Canon equipment exclusively. He has used Canon's 1D line of cameras for several years and employs an array of L series Canon lenses. He is also experienced in post-production software including Adobe PhotoShop and uses a variety of experimental processes such as HDR photography and still-to-video time lapse photography.
