Upload Guide

Option 1: Professional Scan (Recommended)

Copy shops as well as most office supply chains such as Office Depot and Staples provide professional photo scanning services at reasonable prices.

  1. Carefully gather your photos and take them to the scanning professional of your choice.
  2. Tell the technician that you need your photos scanned in JPG format, Highest quality (100), at 700 DPI (dots per inch). Then tell them to put the file on a thumb drive, CD, or have them email it to you.
  3. Once you have the scanned files on a CD, thumb drive, or email, transfer them onto your computer into a folder you can easily find.
  4. Choose your restoration options here, upload your first image file along with any instruction you may have about the restoration, and add it to your cart. Repeat this process for each photo you had scanned.

  2. In your scanner software (this process will vary from one system to another) choose JPG as the file type. Then choose the highest quality option (this is usually called "highest quality" or "100"). And finally, set the DPI (dots per inch) to 700, and scan the photo into a folder on your computer. Repeat this process for each photo.
